Tuscany's explosion in popularity in the last few year has it's costs. Though the residents are warm and friendly, and the landscape is lovely, the countryside itself is becoming more of a mainstream tourist destination. 
Winding roads make for a great cycling trip, skirting olive-treed slopes and careening into gentle valleys filled with grapevines. Even the occasional thunderstorm does nothing but pour warm rain down your back.
The author is an amateur photographer with a passion for unique points of view. Alongside studying her post-graduate degree in Ontario, she devotes her spare time to the university arts scene, contributing work to photography competitions, a library art collection and published graphic designs. She is actively pursuing publishing opportunities for a book celebrating the opportunites, perspectives and adventure awaiting those brave enough to travel on two wheels.
